Jute is a natural fabric that has slight imperfections which is what gives it such texture. FYI - The last photo shows the difference light bulbs make! These shades are dark, so using a 75 or 100W daylight LED bulb is usually a brighter, more natural light than others. I do not recommend if your primary makeup mirror lighting but makes a lovely spa feel in the bath.
